While you are calling for prayer, they take it as play and amusement, that is because they are the people who don’t utilize their intelligence.
The character of Jews during Messenger's time is portrayed in this verse. The Arabic Quran reading Fujjar by hiding and rejecting Adhikr are deviated into different groups. By building different mosques for different groups at a place itself, they are ridiculing each other. By making loud noises through loudspeakers from mosques and leading a mischievous way of life they are earning the hate of other people belonging to Messenger's community. As the Fujjar are performing prayer not to maintain the Book Dhikree rejecting verse 20: 14, instead of controlling evil and shameful deeds, their prayer will encourage them to follow Satanic footsteps which are against verse 29: 45. So the Fujjar must bear the burden of other people's mockery towards the Book, Messenger and the Lord. These aimless and heedless disbelievers and Mushriks will get Hellfire as a penalty which they are not earning here deliberately. That is because they are not preparing Paradise in this fourth phase as explained in verse 2: 286. All their prayers and deeds are futile and they have become the worthless and worst creatures mentioned in verses 25: 18 and 8: 22 respectively. They will be dragged prone on their faces into Hell as explained in verses 25: 33-34. The Fujjar will wail that if they had listened or utilized their intelligence, they would not be among the companions of the Blaze as told in verse 67: 10.
Today as there is no group of believers anywhere in the world, there is no congressional prayer. The odd believer follows a lifestyle explained in verses 7: 205-206. See explanation 2: 44; 3: 196-197 and 4: 142.
